eng
A couple of the better pic's I got of the Tennesee ANG C-5 which diverted into Glasgow late on the 15th, I believe he was enroute from KAF and had a tech problem. Caught the Emirates 777 just as the nosewheel lifted with the C-5 in the background. This next pic was sheer luck but was chuffed to have caught it a split second after touchdown The Gatwick departure - G-GBTB being one of the nice -400's in the fleet G-EUPJ followed a few mins later and also looked respectably clean Scottish Air Ambulance returns home for the afternoon Flybe's Saab 340's are never in short supply at Glasgow Local farmer needs to move some of his outbuildings!! GreyGhost
Nice photos, Eng ! The C-5 looks like a dark cloud among all the colorful airliners .... Gregg
Stephen
Here's my pic,not as good as Eng's seeing as mine was taken by cellphone through a window. As of 1130 today the C-5 was still at Glasgow although there seemed to be activity round it.It was definitely a big talking point among the passengers Stephen
speedy
Be there if you can when it departs. The noise is fantastic, especially if its giving it some.
eng
The C-5 departed around about 1430-1445 today, I never saw it but heard it go from the house, quieter than I'd expected I have to say. I've been off work all week and didn't see it from the BA hangar or get the lowdown straight away. Apparently it diverted from Mildenhall to Prestwick, couldn't get into Prestwick either and ended up in Glasgow in the end. One of my colleagues was saying the reason it sat for so long was that they popped 3 tyres on landing at Glasgow. I bet the crew aren't used to operating into "short fields" like Glasgow!!! I think there may have been a C-130 on the ground at Glasgow last night, possibly with spares/equipment, could hear a very noisy turbo-prop manoeuvering. Stephen - This is BRITmodeller, we don't have cellphones in this country!!! Still a good pic though mate. Eng
