Skii
Righto peeps can anyone recommend some paint ? I need to match the silver paint used on German re-war racing cars - it will be clear coated and I don't visible metallic flakes as this ruins the scale effect. Please excuse the automotive pornography , but this is what I'm looking to emulate cheers John

The Hooded Claw
Steve at Zero does a very nice if a little grey Mica Silver which he markets as being for the Audi R8/10/12 now they use a colour allegedly linked historically to the Auto Union Silvers of the '30s, this would probably be a good starting place. I'm using it on my Merc DTM CLK D2 over on Locate and Cement. H
little-cars
Can't see anything on the instructions for the C or D types about paint colours. I always picture the cars in a greyish aluminium finish, they were simpler times and nuch simpler paint technologies.
Skii
Yeah its more of a metallic grey than anything else, I've emailed steve at Zero to see if he does anything to match

cmatthewbacon
Looks just like Citadel Mithril Silver, maybe with a proportion of Chainmail, to me... bestest, M.

Much easier to ring him, he's really helpful over the phone in my experience! Keef
little-cars
Personally I'd wander down to Halfords and see what they have on the shelf and in the paint chip books.
