Foxtrot Oscar
Hi all, I'm currently building an Italeri 1/35 DUKW to give to my wife's grandfather for Christmas (if it's passable!) He drove DUKWs for the RASC in Burma from 44-45 and I'm having trouble finding any resources on colours and markings. I am assuming that these were lend-lease vehicles, which I understand were often left in their original US Olive Drab scheme until they needed to be repainted. Other than that I have come up with very little information. Did these vehicles have US star markings, or would these have been removed? Some sources say that they would have had the word ARMY written on the side, and/or the letter B followed by a number, but no-one seems to know for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
