Rodders
Hi All, I seem to have a hankering to do some 1/72 armour, and have bought a couple of 1/72 scale Dragon tanks at Telford. The T34 and Tiger 1. Plus, i have a Sherman Firefly and Challenger with dozer blade. Basically, i want to try to start small with photo etch as well. But first i've made up a couple of Armourfast's Stug 3,s and painted them in Panzer Grey all over as a sort of pre shade coat and a way to paint the wheels. Could anyone give ideas on where to go next, I was thinking of just doing them Dunkelgelb starting off in the centre of panels adding successive lighter yellow coats on top. Could any of the armour modellers offer any advice. I would be grateful, or where i could get some tutorials. Thanks, Rodders.
Overhaulin
Hi Me again :evillaugh: Here's a few pointers for ya. I tkae it your using an airbrush ?. If you are brush painting it will be near as impossible IMO to get the finish I think your after. Otherwise - yes start from the panel centre with a base colour, then give an overall thin coat to blend. Then add a lighter shade of the base coat to the horizontal surfaces. Here's a few pointers for ya. http://www.scaleworkshop.com/workshop/pain...learmorbg_1.htm Colour Modulaton is a fairly new technique http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=mod...&artid=2006 http://www.missing-lynx.com/articles/other...lationmr_1.html
