Hi All,

Not quite going back to the age of steam...

But many years ago I seem to recall a 1/32 beaufort vacuform or vacuform conversion with the revell beaufighter,as a donor kit.

Anyone have a good enough memory to recall who made it ? presumably it is well 'OOP' by now.

Cheers

Jerry

Was it ID or Combat models perhaps?

Hi Jerry,

It was I.D. Models that made the Beaufort, here's my example:-

Having a Revell Beaufighter to hand was a great help as I could use quite a few parts from it.

The kit is way OOP and I'm glad I managed to grab one when they were available.

Regards,

Glenn.

May I just say that that is an amazing model sir...and 1/32nd to boot......I have to get my hands on one of those as the Beaufort is a favourite of mine and the donor kit has either got the shape very well done (especially around the cockpit and nose transparencies) or you are an even better modeller than you first appear!
Well done indeed and in comparison here is my rather meagre effort in 1/48th using the awful Sangar kit
Cheers Tony

Hi All,

Just picked up my 1:32 beaufort today from john at tigger models

It looks real nice :-)

My winter project is all ready

I just somehow have to fit it into my already full suitcase :-)

cheers

Hi Daniel

I am away from home but will get some done on my return, hotel WiFi is bad.

The kit is basic and will need a donor beaufighter, unless you are a really skilled modeller.

http://tigger-models.blogspot.ca/2012/03/welcome-to-tigger-models.html?m=1

but realistically would there ever be anything else, until 3d printers evolve at an affordable price and acceptable quality

by then I will probably be pushing up the daisies

cheers

Jerry
