Test Graham
A few bits of confusion here and there on this one: the Night Witches were the Po2 Night Bomber pilots specifically: there was also a fighter unit and a dive-bomber unit (with the Pe2, not the Il2 shown on the slide show). Stalin's Falcons were the fighter pilots in general - or perhaps even airmen in general. Should be worth listening to, though.

Test Graham
Just heard it, it is well worth listening to. Although I don't quite understand why the BBC interviewer talked of Amelia Earhart rather than Amy Johnson. Also the WASPs rather than the ATA, but as she had am ex-WASP to draw comparisons, that at least made sense.

AnonymousFO98
Is there a problem accessing iPlayer radio programmes Walt? I know there is with TV iPlayer access overseas. if not available as a podcast there is a chance it will get broadcast on the BBC World Service with luck and you are in luck
