Murdo
Hi all, Could one of the tank experts answer a question please? I'm building the AFV Club Centurion Mk5/1. The R/H turret bin has quite a pronounced gap at the top between the hull and the turret. Should there be a gap or should it sit flush with the turret? You can see the gap here. There are pins that appear to be spacers.
Dave
The gap should be there.

Murdo
Thanks mate. A very definite and quite wide gap there. Why is it sand coloured? Is it an AVRE?

He spent a few months in 1977 at Warminster driving an uparmoured Centurion target tank. Theres one down at Bovington now.

Murdo
Yes, it's a clear plastic circle moulded with the periscopes etc. Then a green plastic circle sits on top. It's very nicely done. Maskol doesn't seem too keen to stick to it for painting though.
