Takamota
Yep it's blue tack, you'll see it alot on my models as the have to go though the postal system, so it's just there for the photos. once there at there new home they can fix permanently.Plus have you seen how Revell would have you fix it. Bloody hell you're not joking. Just about finished my one. Thought their idea of two pieces of stretched sprue of 0.8mm dia seemed a bit flimsy. I went for one single piece of sprue at 2mm dia. Looks more like the 1/48th one that way and i think a bit more robust!
Howard of Effingham
I have about ready the Italeri offering of the Typhoon and getting the prototype of ESCI. I painted it black as I like that very much. I lost the serial decals when I used set and sol. If anyone can help me on those??? ZH588 iirc. spike7451
Very nice Phil - One small thing to point out (which will take you all of 5 secs) at the base of the tail, right above the drag chute door, there is a long "sausage" like pointy out thing - some kind of sensor I guess. Check out some Tiffie pics and you'll very soon see what I mean. I think it's the fuel dump pipe.
Gary West
Saw the real thing last week at Coningsby - stuck away in a hanger sadly
Notdoneyet
I think it's the fuel dump pipe. Spike, I believe it is part of the Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS) - one of the missile approach warning tranceivers. HTH, Ian
Eric2020
sad news to hear ZH588 is parked in an hanger at Conningsby. I got today the ESCI offering of Typhoon, that one is earlier than the one from Italeri.
