Stevieboy
Hi Guys The last straw has occured!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! modelling is meant to be fun and enjoyable and this kit is not :shithappens: So with regret I have to pull out of this group build, I'm sticking with rallying as I have now started an Escort Cosworth by Tamiya that I found in me stash Good luck to all Stevieboy
Mike
That's a shame Steve... what kit btw? Was it the Skoda you were posting about the other day, cos you've started another thread? Either way, it's always a shame when someone puts a kit away... might be an idea to have a rest from it and come back to it in 2-6 months to see if the trauma's faded from your memory

Stevieboy
Hi Mike Yes it was the Skoda I gave it a rest for a couple of days then this morning seeing as it was bright and sunny I went down the shed with renewed vigour? and got the drivers seat sorted-took a couple of hours mind then got on with the navigators seat got the lap belts done then in the space of 5 mins the shoulder belts on the drivers side both popped of and the lap belts on the navigators seat came adrift and that was it I had had enough of it. I'm not a negative person and this has probably made me sound negative -I told Caz that I'll do it when its the last kit I have left so around 699 to go. I've met you Steve, you're not a negative person... sometimes you just have to walk away from things & come back another day when your head's in a better place. Iain Ogilvie
I have had really bad days with models - days when I've wanted to sling the latest work in the bin - but I have learned to just put them to one side and re-visit in the future - there will be a day when everything just 'clicks' on the project... CockneyCol
Hey Steve, We've all been there i'm sure, I've had a Vought Corsair I've been building for 4 years now, I do a bit, get sick of it, put it back and attack the bloomin' thing again when I have another burst of inspiration.....I might even finish it before Christmas (didn't say which year). It is a hobby, no-one is gonna die if the kit isn't finished on time........enjoy it for what it is. All the best fella. Cheers Col'

keefr22
Looking good Steve! Sorry to hear about the Skoda, but I'm sure you'll get it done one day (but if you want to sell it give us a shout!!! ) - I have a Reji short wheelbase quatro sport. It's also a right pig of a kit! I've been building it off & on for about 4 years now - but I'm determined it won't beat me!!! Good luck with the Escort! Keef
