Trumpeter Sea Fury so far...

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

not far to go now on the 72nd Sea Fury. Just done the decals today. mostly from the spares box. Im building it with the wings folded as the fit is crap if you wanted to build it with the wings down.

Cheers,

Neil

Nice! Those decals included?

Dave

No you only get two of the later more familiar schemed aircraft, one being the famous Korean War aircraft, the other being from a 1953 exercise with yellow and orange tail bands.

is it really that bad (fit of the wings)?

My experience, evidently, was much different from Neil's as regards the wing fit (outer to inner). One one kit, I assembled the top the bottom pieces before joining them. Took very little sanding at the join between the inner and outer, but the trailing edges required more-than-normal thinning. On my second kit, I assembled the inner and outer pieces separately (to be posed wings folded), and again had little problem aligning the pieces in the unfolded position.

Can we have some pictures of your completed kits?
