copey Posted September 20, 2009 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Hello peeps , I'm building acads 1/32 F-18, and the decals for the sidewinders are to stiff ,, they won't wrap around the missiles I even treid soaking them in hot water hoping that would soften them up.. but to no avail. so I was wondering if any one has any hints or suggestions any help is welcome Mark Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Julien Posted October 2, 2009 Share Posted October 2, 2009 If the kleart does not work then you can use thin liquid cement, yes GLUE this does work but is dangerous, you only get one go at it so have to get the decal in the right place first time. Also better on a good topcoat. Other option is to paint on the markings (ie for the coloured rings) its a pain but looks good. Julien Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Alan P Posted October 2, 2009 Share Posted October 2, 2009 Bad luck Mark, the Acad decals are well known in earlier boxings of the kit as being as brittle and pliable as walkers crisps.
