eng
Was on the way home from some shopping this morning and had the camera in the car for a change so took the oppor-chancity to snap a couple of pic's. First 4 aren't great a wee bit dark and slightly on the wonk! (I need to start using the eye viewfinder and not the LCD display on the cam) The last 2 I'm chuffed with, made me want to go on hol's somewhere far away and hot!! Not sure where this big beastie was off to today, but she took a good bit of tarmac to get airborne. Here's the pic's - Air Lingus A320 turns onto Rwy 05 and holds for departure clearance, a nice clean looking jet too. The A320 was followed quickly by one of the 2 Twin Otters operated by FlyBe (ex-BA Regional and in not quite as nice a livery in my opinion!), and pootled off at its own gentle pace requiring only a few feet to get airborne!! Lastly, this big beauty from a different vantage point and in a better break in the clouds. This machine is enormous for a twin jet and I once had a rather close call with a Monarch A330. The Thomas Cook aircraft always appear to be very clean, and this one particularly so. Thank's for taking a peek, Eng
mtd350
I used to work for an aircraft engineerig company in Edinburgh that used to do the ground handling for Scare Lingus. I can't see the reg but it was an Aer Lingus A320 was my first Heavies pushback.

Dave Fleming
That Aer Lingus cheat line always makes me thing they have grafted on the nose of another aircraft!!
Mark
That Aer Lingus cheat line always makes me thing they have grafted on the nose of another aircraft!! I know what you mean!!! A real Cut 'n' Shut job! The trend for vertical lines on airliners is, IMHO, not at all attractive! Great photo of that A330-200 though, Eng! One of the nicest aircraft I have had the pleasure of flying!!
