Okdoky
Hi There Matt Thanks for the pics. They are just what I was looking for. Great pics and you guys seem to get the best opportunities to see inside these lovely ladies. Have made a start on the first of seven nose pieces from the 1/32 part work kit. I am not building 7 £700 models by the way. My model will be £3.50 plus a few chinese carry outs. My PC needs a good overhall before I can start taking pics of the progress but hope to get it sorted by next weekend. Thanks again Nige

Graham
Hi Mattie post away the more the merrier mate, you can't get enough ref material for the Lanc plus it will all come in useful for my vac build. Nige is it definitely 1/32nd scale, I wonder if I can add/scab bits on to my build looking forward to your pics. Graham. Okdoky
Hi Graham The model is advertised as 1/32 scale so unless they have cocked up on their dimensions. I have nothing to compare the scale against as I have no scale drawings, just a few cutaway drawings and a couple of books. daz greenwood
Great pics Mattie. Was the yellow handrail a post-war addition? As both NX611 and PA474, both have them. Cheers Daz

mrpotatohead
Hi Mattie Do you have any photos of the ventral turret/H2S dish mounting area? I'm trying to make the 463 squadron Lancaster, PD329 JO-Y, that filmed the Tirpitz raids. Three cameras were used, one in the nose turret, one in the rear entry door and the third in the area where the ventral turret/H2S radar dish would have been. The only pics I've found so far show what appears to be a cover over that area and not the mount itself. Thanks Paul
Mattie Bee
Do you have any photos of the ventral turret/H2S dish mounting area? Hopefully this is what your after NX611 Now I'm not sure how accurate the inside of Just Jane is and this may be the mount for the French Maritime Radar and not original WWII RAF Looking Fwd PA474 Looking Aft External Edited September 12, 2009 by Mattie Bee
mrpotatohead
Hi Mattie Thanks for the pics. The first two do indeed show the area I'm interested in. I was wondering what was under the circular cover and if a camera could be fitted using whatever framework may be there. It may well be a "Heath Robinson" contraption was actually designed for the camera mounting but it would be interesting to know if what was already there could have been utilised. Don't worry if you haven't any pics as I realise it's not something anyone would normally need making a Lancaster model. All the best, Paul Edited September 12, 2009 by mrpotatohead
