eng
This years Typhoon display pilot was brought up in the Largs/Skermorlie area and today put on an awesome display to a home crowd at the opening day of the Largs Viking Festival. After a rapid retreat from work to pick up the kids I headed down to see the Typhoon put through its paces. My pic's ain't great (especially the shot with the seagull attached to the right wing!) but this was the first time I've seen a Typhoon in action and I was rather taken aback by it's performance. This is an awesome piece of kit, and the pilot didn't hold back. The jet was rarely out of reheat and my lasting image was his run in to the display and he descended and turned in with the aircraft on its side framed by a church spire (not capture d on camera unfortunately as I was too busy enjoying the impending high speed pass!) Here's a couple of (not great) pic's, Rgds, Eng
