avro683
The parts breakdown looks very similar to the bigger cousin John. I hope the fin doesn't have the same trenches as the larger one does. Tony
Laurent
Oh goodie. Thank you for the pics. Is the PR9 out too ? I want to make the plane that was at the RIAT 2007 (I think) with the winged bomb artwork on the fin. I hope Airfix will do a T17 too.
AnonymousA667
I hope the fin doesn't have the same trenches as the larger one does. According to the review in SAM it does unfortunately, but otherwise the review is very positive. peebeep

I hope the fin doesn't have the same trenches as the larger one does.Tony There are engraved lines on the rudder, but they are pretty fine and shouldn't be too much of a challenge to anyone who doesn't want them. I haven't seen the 1/48th scale kit but according to what I've read the breakdown does seem similar. Looks like a B2/B6 could be a prospect! Eric Mc
I recently finished my old 1/72 FROG/Novo B(I)8 - partly because I wanted it done before AIrfix released theirs. I already have the Xtrakit PR9 - so here's hoping that a B2/B6 variant is on the way from Airfix.
Paul Bradley
The same bloody decal options too! You'd think the RAF and SAAF only had one a/c each!!!!!

John
The same bloody decal options too! You'd think the RAF and SAAF only had one a/c each!!!!! Not a problem for me! I built an all-silver SAAF Canberra from the FROG kit just about the time it came out, so I think that's also what this one will end up as. canberra kid
Ummmmm, It all looks very much like the 1/48 Can, with all the same problems, but I guess we can't complain too much, after all it's a quantum leap over what we had before. Thanks for sharing John. John Edited August 6, 2009 by canberra kid

AnonymousFY21
Fin root, tailplane roots, rudder trenches (but they sound much better than the 1/48th ones). I'm sure Bex can add a few more to the list. The crew access hatch is also wrong on the 1/48th one. Good news is it's all fixable. rich And no, I won't be doing the tailplanes in 1/72nd, but I'm sure if you lobby Mike2 they can find someone to do it. The wooksta V2.0
It'll be going Australian, RAAF, as a stop gap before they get their TSR2s. Tempted with an Indian one but that would be too real for my liking. Steve only got three from me! Kept a couple of the Novo ones just in case I could get another flying boat conversion from Joe Cherrie. Still want to do one of those in RAF Rescue colours. The wooksta V2.0
How many Cranberries have you got now, Steve? Just out of idle curiosity, you understand. Just realised I'll need two of the B8s. One for a B8 and the other to convert to a B2. I'm also curious to see if the resin from the High Planes kit will fit. The fuselage in their B8 is a B2 but with a resin adaptor for the cockpit area. Thinking of just building it as a B2 and keeping the resin interior for the Airfix kit.
