1:72 Airfix Sea Fury FB.II

A very basic kit, but has been a little gem to build.

I've not put any wash on it as the matt varnish is still sticky in places. I'll give it a week and see if it finally dries before trying a wash.

* Kit manufacture: Airfix

* Scale: 1:78

* Type: Sea Fury FB.II

* Paints and colours used: Tamiya acrylics and Citadel metallics

* Other info: Full build is here

First pair for me. Built from the Eduard Duo box set and this was my first serious use of etch brass. Im pleaseed generaly with how it turned out. Paints are a mix of Xtracrylics for the Gloss Sea Blue and the varnish and the rest are Citadael miniatures paints. Markings are from the Aermomaster decal sheet with a roundel used from the Eduard sheet:

Finally finished the Seafire. This is the Brilliant Airfix kit. Painted almost exclusively with Tamiya Paints (Sky and Dark sea grey) Weathered with Tamiya washes and sealed with Humbrol Satin Varnish from a can. I will try and get some more pictures up but photobucket is acting up. Now on with the Buccaneer!
