Antoine
For your eyes only: Bad fitting of the rhodoïd canopy, my fault. I didn't cut it properly, and paid the price. And no need to talk about the seam... In the battle with the wash and the decals, this coalition won... The year's trilogy. I still think that I can break mu last year's record. Once again, learned a lot with this build. Anyway, as I'm not satisfied at all with the result, I plan to rebuild and repaint it in the future, with another camo. AdriaN (MLT)
WOW thats nice! very unusual colour. Love the weathering! that did you use, promodeller wash? Did you say..redo it in the future? you mad! just because of some mistakes? everymodel of mine has mistakes... i do look at it badly becasue of these mistake, but i try and forget these mistakes are even there
Antoine
Thanks to both of you. Adrian, yes, I want to have another go at it, later. Don't take it to be false modesty, but having this spit in front of me, I can say that all those errors literaly "jump to the eyes". For me, its "one step beyond" compared to the I-16, and I'm not happy with it.
AdriaN (MLT)
the only mistakes are the loose nylon and panel line on the glass. which you can arrange! Yes i hate it when small mistakes jump at you.. because you know they are there. even though they are unnoticable. Notdoneyet
Cracking build Antoine!! I love the "war weary" finish. Because it's you we'll forgive the French fin flash on the stbd side Cheers, Ian
Antoine
Because it's you we'll forgive the French fin flash on the stbd side Sorry, it was not intended! I've asked myself the question, and completely forgot the the fin flash was in "reverse" on the starboard side.

Ah Antoine, how do you know that it wasn't reversed !!. - were you there ?, have you photos and are they in colour ?!! Riggers were human and did make mistakes. I would say that it was not an error, just the result, "of some exceptionally detailed and in-depth research" !! - on your part. A very nice model - please don't repaint it. Antoine
please don't repaint it. Thanks! But sorry, I've set my mind, I'll do it (But not in the near future). Or do you think I might try a poll?

Wienne
Very nice! Where did you get the conversion parts (especially the canopy?)? I'm a bit of a PRU-fan (amongst others) and thinking of doing a PR.XI. Quickboost has some nice conversion sets for it, but no canopy... Antoine
Obscure? Nevertheless very interesting spitfire variants. By the way, I'd just get my next spit, an FRIX:
