Antoine
Capitaine Cédric Ruet, solo Rafale pilot, won the Sir Douglas Bader Trophy best solo display team! And also the Royal Air Marshall Ben Crowley Millins. Sorry, no link in english... Rafale solo display 2009 By the way, I've heard the FAA is looking for a new jet fighter??? (Only joking, I promise). Robin
Hi Antoine, Congratulations to the French. A slight correction, the name on the second award is Air Marshal Sir Denis Crowley-Milling, who was a pilot in the Battle of Britain. Robin.
CockneyCol
I was lucky enough to see the display, it was awe-inspiring and worthy of the plaudits received. As for the FAA getting Maritime Rafale, don't dismiss it as I have a feeling we are going to have two great big carriers and nowt to fly off it the way F-35 is going, that or a navalised Gripen would be cool too....a potential "What if" if ever I saw one. Cheers Col'
Antoine
A slight correction, the name on the second award is Air Marshal Sir Denis Crowley-Milling, who was a pilot in the Battle of Britain. I was nearly sure that something was wrong. Sorry, I should have know it, as I've already heard about Sir Denis Crowley-Milling. I'll try to pass the info to the AdA webmaster. I was lucky enough to see the display, it was awe-inspiring and worthy of the plaudits received. I saw the display at Reims air show, and didn't found it to be above the norm, compared for exemple to the Belgian and Dutch F-16 display. To me they nearly all perform quite the same... But I'm no expert!
