Jabba Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I got through the post this morning a book called " Birds of Prey ", which has many photographs of the nose art of many aircraft that took part in the 1991 conflict. It is an American book (I think), and I have never seen or heard of this book before. It also contains many photos that I have not seen before. It is not just about American aircraft as it contains sections for British, French, Canadian, plus many other countries that took part. It was second hand and a snip for Modelsforsale, which I only saw by chance.

spike7451 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 ?????? hmmm so then merv why are there 1 or 2 tonka photo's then When I went down Granby,we were told no-cameras which was a general rule but when we got there, you could buy them from the Souke.I bought a nice Nikon...Some places did'nt mind as long as OpSec was'nt broken but I think Oman was an exception due to what/who was operating from there.
Jabba Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 In this months Military Aircraft Monthly there is an article about US Marine helicopters that operated from Al Jubayl during Desert Storm with some rather different paint schemes.
