ollieholmes Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 next door Ollie where it says "completed kits " Surely thats where you post photos of models once you have finished them?
AnonymousFO98 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Ollie, misunderstood what you meant just start a new thread with your name and the build with scale please!
ollieholmes Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Ollie, misunderstood what you meant just start a new thread with your name and the build with scale please! No worries, i will do when i make a start.
Jabba Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 What do you class as 20% made, as I have a F-15E on my work bench at the moment that was used in OIF?
AnonymousFO98 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 (edited) can you post some pics please Jabba? if you have just got the cockpit tub done that is fine if you are about to put on the decals forget it! depends on the complexity of the kit and at what stage you are at. Edited August 3, 2009 by walrus
spike7451 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Sorry Jabba but that looks like about 65% completed I'm afraid. walrus?
Antoine Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Sorry Jabba but that looks like about 65% completed I'm afraid. To me, looks more like 67%.
Phartycr0c Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Without the rear stabilators, and adding the plastic density co-efficient, thats actually 62.458% complete
AnonymousFO98 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 You called it Merv sadly she's gone way past the 20% stage imho too. Sorry Jabba. But if you get the build complete there is no reason why you couldn't post in the Inspirations Thread and start something else- an advantage of having a 12 month GB is that it gives plenty of scope for joining in at a later stage with plenty of time to finish oi you lot stop splitting hairs
Rampage55 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I have a 1/48 Airfix Jag that has sat since the end of the Jaguar GB unfinished. I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to recover some of my lost pride in having not finished that GB. Here is a link to that build thread. I have since acquired a Neomega pit that I painted, but have not installed. The gun ports have been attached to their respective fuselage halves, as have the nose sections and the nose gear well has been painted and attached to one side... That's about it though...If I had to estimate I'd say it's about 19.925% complete, however I'll defer to those better equipped to determine such things to decide whether this project will qualify or not... Thank you for your consideration, Mark
darson Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Sorry Mark but according to the amount of plastic in the kit, the resin you need to add and the amount of paint already on there I calculate the kit at being precisely 21.03571% complete, tough luck . Seriously the Shaguar looks at less than 20% to my eyes, so my vote is for yes. Cheers

spike7451 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Thanks Darren... Your support is much appreciated. I'd say you're not even 20%! Maybee 14.311117%... Soooo....Come on DOWNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......................

Thanks for taking a look.
Rabspat Posted August 8, 2009 Author Posted August 8, 2009 The Jag is fine, as for the F-15E i agree with Walrus and Spike on that its a bit to far along.
FZ6 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Here is one of my started projects for consideration for the group build. I've started this old Italeri C-130 with a view to building it as a Desert Storm one. I've glued the front sections of the fuselage to the rear. One wing has been assembled and most of the Interior sections have been built into sub sections and gutted ready for adding detail as I really want to go to town on the interior. I've also added some lights to the interior. I plan to have the model on a diorama base hooked up to a ground power unit. If the verdict is that it's less than 20% done I'll build it. Cheers, Mark
AnonymousFO98 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Hi Mark Looks and sounds like there is still a lot to do on the project, so i would be happy about it's inclusion.
Bazza Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) Oh,Boobs !! It looks as if my Hasegawa,(or was it Airfix's ??),Jaguar GR1 won't qualify,as i completed it 18 years ago !! BUT...i am STILL waiting on the delivery of the Tac.Air.Refueller.(to go with it.....) Even then,it would STILL be 50% done, yes ?? However i am hoping to get the 1/35 Challenger Tank today...(at least,THAT qualifies !!)* Here's hoping....Bazza. *Since then,i've GOT it....!! la la la !! Edited August 11, 2009 by Bazza
AnonymousFO98 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Think the TacAir refueller counts as okay Bazza But just how did they get them to fly for Air to Air refuelling?
FZ6 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Hi MarkLooks and sounds like there is still a lot to do on the project, so i would be happy about it's inclusion. Thanks for your judgement paul, If no one else objects I'll make a thread this evening. Regards, Mark
Deacon Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I'd like to enter this build as well. Hobby Bosses 1:72 Mi-24V Hind-E. I thought the bad guys were under represented, although this build will fall within the Iran/Iraq war. Deacon
