mitchem
Not as good as the other F-104 posted today, but I'm please with it. Model is one of the 1/48 Hasegawa boxings. Kit decals were used. I was so impressed with the engineering that I bought a couple more. I know there's been a lot of criticism about the rivet detail, but I can't say that I'm one of those who care. Time to stick it back in it's shoe box in the loft. Cheers mike

Maxidad
Nice build there. I'm more of prop-fan myself, but that's a smart looking a/c. (And I like your "don't give a stuff" attitude about the rivets!)
AnonymousFO98
nice enough though Mike! Strange scheme! did it actually fly like that?
mitchem
nice enough though Mike!Strange scheme! did it actually fly like that? Yes, it did actually fly. It was painted up to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 51 Stormo - Italian Air Force. A number of flashy schemes were applied to other Italian Strafighters at round about the same time. There are a couple of photos of this particular aircraft on Airliners.net - Just type MM 6869 in the keywords box. Incidentally, the cat chasing the mice on the port side is actually based on the patch of the 51 Stormo of the Italian Air Force. As far as I know, the cat never caught the mice ! mitchem
Nicely done. Looks somewhat smaller than a 48th (to me ) Could be 1/50th, but we don't have a tape measure in the house (or weighing scales ! )
