Paul A H
Afternoon everyone. I've recently rediscovered an enthusiasm for maritime modelling and this is the result. It's the Tamiya 1/700 waterline series model of the Scharnhorst complete with Eduard etch details. The etch railings were a right pain to fix in place; they're absolutely tiny in this scale! Everytime I pick the model up I seem to catch it and break a piece off, so my poor wife has had to put up with me sticking my fingers together and swearing all week. The rigging isn't as extensive as it could be but this was the first time I've used etch railings or rigged a ship, so I didn't want to push it. I'll be making a seascape base soon to mount it on - it needs a good base so I don't have to pick it up and break something again! HMS King George V next... Skii
That is quite superb, the photoetch stuff makes small scale ships come alive and you've done a fantastic job there.
