Jazzy Jase
I've just started on a B-25 which I intend on finishing in NMF. I'm thinking of using Alclad to do this but I don't really know which of the colours would be suitable. I don't want a shiny finish. The aircraft is being finished as in service in the Phillipines in May 1945, so I would guess it will be quite dull and weathered. What colours would you recommend to achieve this look? I was thinking Aluminium with some Dark Aluminium for the odd panel, but then I noticed airframe aluminium. So I don't really know. Also, I have read that you don't need to put Klear under the decals when using Alclad. Is this really true? Even if I'm not using high-gloss colours? How do I then seal-in the decals and preserve my alclad finish?
Jazzy Jase
Looks like I've answered my own question then. After watching one of Phil's videos over on Promodeller I've decided to paint it Airframe Aluminium, with a few patches of Dull Aluminium and Magnesium, which I've just ordered from SNC Hobbies.
