Silver Fox
Has anyone seen the new ARK Huricane in the UK? It is supposed to be a new tool from ARK of Russia, using an ICM tool? It gets good review on other forums suggesting a slightly less well engraved but easier to build model than the Hasegawa. Better quality than Airfix and not a re-box of the Pegasus. Priced at $14.95 on some US web sites. markings for Stanford Tuck and Douglas Bader. There is also supposed to be a VVS version which I take to be a MK IIb? AnonymousFO98
Have seen it pop up on ebay. The reviews i have seen were not so enthusiastic, though not damning either. this seems typical however the sprue shots look interesting and i wouldn't mind one for the Soviet markings. noticed there are weighted wheels as a choice (maybe a tad overdone?) but 2 pilots, and both types of tail wheel are offered. the office also tries to represent the floorless "open" framework yypical of Hawkers. oh dear the stash fiend is singing her siren song! Barrovian
It is on the HobbyTerra website, http://hobbyterra.com/brands.asp?item=ARK%...DELS&page=2 I have used them before and they are very good.
AnonymousFO98
Just found THIS the box art shows the 6 gun "b" wing without reference not sure about that, and not sure if the extra gun bays are etched on the wing. iirc MkIIb Hurris went to the Soviet with it seems some IIa Hurris. Can't find any reference to MKI's going unless someone knows different. Edited July 8, 2009 by walrus

AnonymousFO98
Hi Tony yes i noticed the prop options i take it the tear drop isn't for a bubble canopy version of the hurri and that is the pr housing- and it had a single camera?
Matt Roberts
Stupid question especially from a Hurricane lover. Were any Sea Hurricanes based on the Mk I? I thought even the Sea Hurricane Mk Is were based upon the Hurri II airframes (aka the longer nose) Or is that the differance between the Sea Hurricane Mks 1a and 1b and the Mk 1c. Is a pity about the clarity of the clear bits, but if it does come with a pr blister (thanks I had wondered what the 'ell it was!) that'll be nice for a Desert AF one with spaghetti camo Matt Edited July 10, 2009 by Matt Roberts
