WWI Tanks

I've just completed the basic work on my Mk.IV Male tank here, and have now got to the (other) fun stage. Choosing what color to paint the hull, and which markings to do.

The instructions suggest that Olive Drab as the standard "accepted" paintjob, but they also mention that there is speculation that it could well be Khaki Brown, and that later in the war they went from the production line painted Battleship Grey, as they found you couldn't tell what color they were after a few hours of combat. I've no idea what to even think about that, so if anyone has some thoughts on that, I'd like to hear 'em.

The kit's decals are a bit sparse, providing enough British decals for 3 vehicles. Tank 102 (serial number 2324), F56 Flypaper (Serial 2341), or Fantan, presumeably from the same unit, or even a different name for the same tank sometime?

Not very interesting, and none of them seem to have the colorful 3 stripes on the front of their track sides. I'd like to do a more colorful beastie if possible. Are there any AM decals out there?

Top job Dave... Thanks for that. I wish I'd found those refs before I embarked on my build really... ah well!

I'll have a proper read tomorrow when my feeble brain is fresh :)
