phat trev
Thinking of making a 1/72 P-80 Shooting Star, should I invest in the Airfix version or get a Sword model?
Julien
I picked up the Sword RF-80 yesterday and that is a really nice kit. Good quality moldings, resin wheel wells and seats plus decals by techmod. Well worth the £13.99 in my opinon. F3 Demon
I've just bought the Airfix kit at a show recently and it's a very good kit for it's age and was only a fiver.
'V'
The old Airfix one is probably more work, it is a Very old set of moulds although reasonale results can be obtained - I made 4 for a special set, all 'B' versions for which I had to sand and polish out the MDC moulded on the inside of the canopy - couldn't forget that !! If money is no object perhaps the Sword is the best although I've not seen or got one, but the Airfix is cheap enough and if you're not happy you can always do another !!!
