Dave Fleming Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) Dug one of these out the stash (been there for about 10 years probably!), and was interested to note that there has been a change to the mould since I last bought/built one - the wingtip navigation light 'buds' have gone!! The last one I built still had these, albeit showing signs of corrosion/wear in the mould, but in this kit they have gone completely, and the tip been re-profiled. Last year I had one of the fairly recent releases alongside a Snap'n'glue release. There were substantial differences between them, I rememebr for instance the locating arrangement on the exhaust stube eing completely different. Either the tooling has been revised since the Snap'n'glue issue, or there was a second set of tooling. I think I still have one of each of these in the loft, I'll see if I can unearth them over the weekend. Anyone got an original first issue to compare with? Cheers, Bill. John That's must have been one of the last kits to ever be BP'd as I have a boxed version from just after it came out (I won it in a raffle at the WsM airshow!) that has "New" on front.
