A few pics from Old Warden

Hi,

I've just started uploading the pics into my Photobucket album. I took over 500 pics, so it's taking a while!

Despite incredibly variable lighting conditions, I don't think they came out too badly.

DH 88 Comet:

DH 89 Dragon Rapides. G-AIYR is the a/c in which I took my first flight.

Blackburn B2 of the BAe Heritage Flight, alongside their DH 60 Moth and Avro Nineteen (Anson). Soon to be joined by the Harrier and Tornado, as they guy standing next to me quipped!

Miles M65 Gemini:

I'll post a few more pics in an additional post, so the page doesn't load too slowly.

There are quite a few pics in my Photobucket album here and there are lots of sub-folders to browse too.

Cheers,

Mark.

I hope to get the remainder of the pics uploaded over the next week or so.

As I said, there's a fair few pics and walkrounds on my Photobucket Album, which might come in useful.

Cheers,

Mark.

There was a Harrier resident in the mid 90s. It didn't stay long though! :D

Beautiful photos Mark.

You say the light was variable, but the in flight shots are spot on with the light on the subject rather than behind. That Hawker Hind in flight one is my fave.

I look forward to seeing some more

Great Shots !! Shuttleworth on a nice day is good fun !! ? Where did the P-40 come from ?? :analintruder:

The P-40 was a bit of a surprise to me too. It's from North Weald, apparently and owned by Peter Teichmann (sp?). He's got some other nice toys, if you can call a Spitfire, Hurricane and P-51 toys!

You are correct there, this is his website:

Not a bad collection of toys at all. Did you by any chance get any photos of the R44 G-NIKH departing for a short trip at the end of the show?

Wonderful shots.

One little tip for you.....slow the shutter speed down a bit to get a little bit more prop blur. I'd guess they were taken at 1/250th or higher so drop it down to 1/200th and experiment. 1/60th or 1/30th for groung idle speed on the oldies.
