beany Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Like I've said, my first attempt at a vacform so I'm not expecting a brilliant result here - more of a learning exercise. All interior stuff will need to be scratch built and I see that as being the main challenge, not something I've done much of before. I have a few reference books on the Beaufort and a couple of other kits to give me a good idea of what to aim for. I haven't decided what scheme to do yet. As you'll see, the supplied decals are NFG so I will have to source replacements or just wing it with stock roundels and home made serials Wish me luck. Cheers Al.
dswoofie Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Yep, Good luck! I think there will be a few of us 'noobies' to Vac modelling here, so we'll all need it I think! Karl.
AnonymousA667 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Wish me luck. Good luck mate. I would suggest reading John Aero's article carefully. Once you've got all the parts cut out and sanded you'll be wondering what all the fuss is about. peebeep
Colin W Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Dont forget you can make this a lot easier with a Tamiya Beaufighter. This will provide wings, wheels, engines and props plus decals and interior parts you can use. Might make your first vacform experience more pleasant. Colin W
ollieholmes Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Good luck with this one. I look forward to seing some progress on this one.
