rafalbert
Hi All, does anyone know if there is a aftermarket later nose for the Airfix BAC 1-11? I think Two Six used to do one, but I can't find it now. Cheers, Dave

BAC
You could use Welshmodels fuselage http://www.welshmodels.co.uk/fuselages.html I used it when I did this Monarch 1-11. I think the wings are wrong! Compare with the OOB Airfix one.. Cheers!

marty_hopkirk
Yes, Two-Six used make a corrected resin nose for the Airfix 1-11. I haven't seen it listed since ray started producing the full kit of the 500 series. But, worth dropping Ray a line I would say. Marty...
woody37
I quite fancy getting one of the resin kits, but I have never built a resin kit before, only injection moulded. What are the main things to look out for and does anyone have any images of one of the resin kits completed ?
Kev1n
I have built a one of ray's 111-500 kits and it's a neat kit, goes together well. 111 piece here - http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34259 Edited August 20, 2009 by kev1n
woody37
Resin noses are £3.50 from two six. Just ordered two so I can get stuck into my fleet of 1-11's some time soonish
Hepster
...or you can make one from a spare 1/72 Me 109E spinner. Most 109E kits come with a choice of the 'capped' spinner for the desert version or the 'uncapped' spinner. The 'capped' spinner makes a pretty good BAC 1-11 nose, but cut the kit nose off at a slight angle and fill in the prop holes with sprue and filler.
