BAC Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 hi i was one the members who painted that moth minor many years ago along with my brother in law it has now gone back to the owner i think it was painted in ford silver fox it was done from one black and white picture which was not that clear i now do some of the paint work when i get time on the southend vulcan XL426 which i great because it runs and moves under its own power what a noise Are you one of the Hill brothers? I know there was talk that the original owner wanted the plane back but I don't know if it has gone yet. I havn't been down for a few months. Cheers! It used to be one of the "cart it on the back of a wagon and erect it" display kites and in a pretty poor state when they got it. There were two of 'em but t'other was so rough they stripped it for spares.Major Day(that's how long they've had 'em,Paul Day was OC) reckoned something might be done with TE311,so Paul Blackah started to do bits here and there and it's just mushroomed into what you see.
