hi i was one the members who painted that moth minor many years ago along with my brother in law it has now gone back to the owner i think it was painted in ford silver fox it was done from one black and white picture which was not that clear i now do some of the paint work when i get time on the southend vulcan XL426 which i great because it runs and moves under its own power what a noise

Are you one of the Hill brothers?

I know there was talk that the original owner wanted the plane back but I don't know if it has gone yet. I havn't been down for a few months.

Cheers!

Cheers for the explaination about the licences Tony ;)

wrt getting off MFES, i suppose you could stick an exchange post thread up on the RAF Sales and Wants board and see what comes of it.

Have tried that several times mate :( I even had one on Cottesmore's Sales and Wants saying I'd be willing to exchange with someone in the Navy on the Harriers

Hi Simon, you might remember me I'm Brian who was shown how to 'fix' the Minor by Mark and Bruce in the mid 1990's. (Blimey, it seems like yesterday!)

Yeah,that's the one,TE311.

It used to be one of the "cart it on the back of a wagon and erect it" display kites and in a pretty poor state when they got it.

There were two of 'em but t'other was so rough they stripped it for spares.Major Day(that's how long they've had 'em,Paul Day was OC)

reckoned something might be done with TE311,so Paul Blackah started to do bits here and there and it's just mushroomed into what you see.
