Antoine
Digging old non-finished kits, once again. At the beginning. And here is where I restart. This time, there was a little bit of work on the pit. Edited August 25, 2009 by Antoine

GoonerChris
Hey, cool Antoine. Never seen one of them before. I'll get the popcorn out and watch how this turns out.
Antoine
Same as the spit, I'm working on the smaller parts, that will be glued latter. Propeller. There are two/three pics of this aircraft at Evere, with RAF (Polish?) ground crews inspecting it. The spinner is black and white, but difficult to see how many of each. I choose to go for 3/4 black and 1/4 white. Blades are in RLM66 The undercart. More options here. I choose RLM04 all over, included wheels wells. Antoine
A little bit of work. Aeromaster decals are very good, but I've tried to use gunze's softer and setter... I did not use them the right way it seems (Instructions are written in Japanese, and I was without internet connection), as I've made a mess of it. I'll try to get it right latter
Antoine
Ok, I've decided to go for another aircraft. Still a German training machine, though. So, off are the decals.
Antoine
On the road again. Another coat of RLM04, to repair the damage done scrapping off the decals.
Antoine
Masking again. Then a coat of RLM76. The camo will be more complex this time, with RLM75 and 74 on the upper fuselage/wings, and splotches of RLM74 on the fuselage sides. More masking tomorrow, for a coat of RLM75 first. AnonymousFY21
looking really good. I keep meaning to pick one of these kits up, but they seem to be getting quite rare. What's the blue masking in the cockpit Antoine? rich
Antoine
Hello Rich, Not so rare, I don't think so. The masking is mr masking sol, with some cleanning paper.

Antoine
For the next part of the camo, the upper side, I've used some floating masks, made with paper sheet on some bits of blu tak. Then an overall coat of the lighter RLM75. Next, the last color, RLM74. There was a small "accident" on the right wing, quickly repaired then after. Off the masks. There are some traces of paint here and there, and another "accident" when I've taken off the tape on the underside. Nothing to worry about, I'll take care of it later. Then the last part of the camo, the small blotches of RLM74 on the fuselage sides. They vary in size on luftwaffe aircraft, even in the same type of aircraft. There are some Dewoitine with larges blotches, but they're quite small on this one. Not so hard to reproduce, the paint just have to be really thinned, and you have to work with the correct pressure on the airbrush. I did many try on a paper sheet, before going on to the aircraft.
