wkennerley
Thanks to a generous britmodeller, I am now in possession of an Airfix Orion 2001 - Not something I had heard of before but its something different. Anyway it has a few pieces missing which are no problem as they are easily replaced with tubing etc. Anyway I have decided to do something different with the build, I am arming the ship. PIcs of proposed additions so far, I may still add others Edited March 20, 2009 by wkennerley

marty_hopkirk
The Stargazer models are very accurate to the filming miniatures [the Pan Am one that is, the cargo variant is obviously fictionalised -but the satellite is cannon to the movie]. Ian Walsh who mastered them has spent and enternity researching the model. Marty...

JosephLalor
very cool, going for a what-if RAF colour scheme then? Something along the lines of one of the Admiralty Standard schemes occurred to me, given that the turrets look as though they came from the Matchbox HMS Duke of York. Finally I have always wondered where the turrets came from - My camo idea was something like starship grey!! Wayne
