Dave Gibson Posted March 15, 2009 Author Posted March 15, 2009 Well, I've made a start. John Adams did us all a favour when he went some way towards correcting the fuselage. However, the Heywood compressor intake needs re-positioning and the sidewalls need some attention. I apologise in advance forthe quality of my pix. I've built up the sidewall so that the canopy has something to run on. Sorry about the quality of the pic. Here's what Hasegawa gives you: As you can see the canopy would be floating on air when closed. Hasegawa seemed to have taken the option of engineering the kit to be build with the canopy closed. Hasegawa are not the only manufacturers to adopt this option. The rear glass would appear to be too big, but this is again due to the engineering of the kit for a closed canopy. Building the side out by about a millimetre or so cures this. The cockpit went together easily enough. I chose to use a spare Cooper Details seat, but otherwise things were OOB About 5 minutes after taking these pix, the cockpit found it's way onto the floor and I managed to stand on it. Fortunately I have a spare seat and The broken styrene parts have glued back together. Tomorrow the wings,. Thanks for looking. Dave
