Flagon Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 (edited) I would like to join if I could with the Trumpeter 1/350th Liberty ship S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien. The O'Brien took part in the Normandy invasion and still survives to this day. She was built in Portland, Maine, about an hour from where we live. For the 50th anniversary of the Normandy landings she sailed back to France and on the return trip she stopped in Portland where we had the chance to go aboard her. I have the Tom's Model Works photo etched detail set for the kit, and will be ordering the necessary White Ensign paints this week, so until they arrive I will plod along making up as many of the sub-assemblies as I can.
