Enzo the Magnificent
This is my addition to the ARC Spitfire Group build:Cheers Libor Utterly wonderful!!! Do you know that this isn't a "real" Spitfire? Here's what the Victory Productions sheet says about it: The "infamous" JE-J Jr never officially existed. It is likely that the serial was invented with an intentionally mixed up set of numbers so as to throw off any nosey headquarters types. According to legend, the aircraft was pieced together from spares and various wrecks. The aircraft was fitted with wing hard points which were commonly used to bring kegs of beer back to the front! This modification was known as "Depth Charge Modification XXX". Edited March 3, 2009 by Enzo Matrix
tornado64
Kronenberg 1664Carlsberg 1848 (1st barrel sent to Gt. Britain 1868) Stella Artois 1366 the main difrence between ales and lager apart from ingredients colour and taste that distinguishes larger is , larger yeast ferments at the bottom when brewing and ales yeasts ferment at the top as pointed out larger is an old drink too just more popular in britain since the 60's when travel became more accesable to most .... terrific model in 1/72 !!! AnonymousFO98
as pointed out larger is an old drink too just more popular in britain since the 60's when travel became more accesable to most ....terrific model in 1/72 !!! somehow couldn't see a lager being flown to France - was only jesting with a reference to the rubbish we used to get, and in full acknowledgement of the very fine brews to be had in Belgium and France. some of which i have been lucky enough to sample in my modest travellings what ever was in the barrels it is a cracking build apologies if my comments took the conversation away from that! Mike
A fine Spit, and I understand that they did actually carry barrels under the wings on the odd occasion. I also read that on one delivery flight of new Spitfires, the empty gun magazine spaces were stuffed full of cigarettes for the Maltese & the troops. What would H&S say about that these days, eh? AnonymousFO98
I'm sure the Czech pilots got along plenty fine with some of our excellent ales Redboost just a though but weren't the cannons replaced with beer pump handles? Perry- i was only joking too but wasn't sure if it came across that way just wanted to avoid misunderstanding- and failed
