Tango 1
Hello all, here is my next addition to my FAA collection Airfix's 1/48 Seafire Mk.47. Oner of the better Airfix offerings which I built about 8 years ago and did a piddle poor job of putting it together. This time around I'm hoping to improve on my previous efforts and make a half-decent model. I'm building this mostly OOB with the exception of some PE seat belts and some spare decals to replace the crap kit ones. Here's how its looking so far........ Stephen
Very nice so far, I think that's the best kit Airfix ever made. Stephen
Tango 1
Thanks for your kind words! I think you are right there Stephen, I can't think of a better Airfix kit-I just wish they didn't use transparant decals. If you use the kit decals paint a layer of white under the wing stripes and roundrels, it really is worth doing.
gcn
thanks for posting this up its a useful reference for my build. I noticed you have glued the fuselage before fitting any of the clear parts on the side. How did you manage to do this because it would be a real time saver
