Red Dragon
I have many, many Sherman references, but not a lot on the "Whizz Bang" rocket launcher. I am not interested in the launcher itself just the fittings on the turret that held the launcher in place. Anyone got any info? This would be for the group build. Derbyeomanry
If its the Sherman Tulip youre thinking of they fire the same rockets as Typhoons/Tempests and had a single underwing rail mounted each side of the turret. Not very accurate but devastating when they landed...Neil
Red Dragon
No, plenty of stuff on Tulip, Whizz Bang was a big box type launcher, it was dropped before D-Day as being too dangerous! But the tanks still retained the fiitings. Derbyeomanry
Found it - p231 of Hunnicutt 7.2in demolition rocket launcher. Carried 20 in two rows of 10, fired individually or ripple fire at half second intervals. Can scan and send pics if you need them...Neil
