tornado64
i,m in with a diorama made with a mix of kit parts taking the sherman from a vintage airfix kit ( the one with the landing craft ) the sherman is already built but done within the time scale as i did it last night and this morning the base from matchboxes montys caravan set ( to represent when they got into town ) and posibly an airfix jeep or matchbox british scout car from montys set not meaning it to be acurate just a representation and practice painting skills with artists acrylics before trying some 1/35 armour dioramas

tornado64
made a start the matchbox montys caravan base has been altered by scratchbuilding a rear to it ( pavement and walls ) the tank could have been better but it is an original airfix redstripe and vinyl tracks had damaged parts of tanks wheels ( although not as bad as the landing craft was ) and the tracks were not the best for age either ... Brews
Don't be so hasty to deny! http://www.trams-in-france.net/reload.htm?caen.htm Don't know if the tramlines were there in WW2, but I suspect that it's likely.
Brews
In fact, this site shows that there was a tramway there before WW2, and though disused by 1937, the tracks remained for some years after!
