Stebos Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) I'm planning this as the first part of my diorama: There's a PE set available for this, but I don't really think it needs it. It's mostly fine detail easily missed and the basic kit seems pretty good detail wise. Comes with a pair of figures which is nice to see, and needed for my purposes. I'll look over the kit parts later - it might be a simple cut & re-pin to do the same without having to import some resin (not seen a UK listing for that axle). Thanks for the heads up! Stebos Posted February 15, 2009 Author Share Posted February 15, 2009 I decided the resin axle was going to cost too much (about £10 or so) so I'm going to botch together my own solution! Here's the axle as it starts off: After playing with some matches I softened the ends and tweaked them round: Some distortion will need a bit of trimming but I'm happy enough with it. The rest of the transmission just falls together: Shame all that detail won't generally be seen. I've left the exhaust off for seperate painting.
