Shiloh
Dug the kit out today. Will get this started tomorrow even if I have to phone in drunk. Don't know whether to go OOB or add aftermarket decals. Decision will be made on the fly. The Creative Explorer
Good luck, I am curious to the result. It seems to be a curb-side? I think it is a huge drawback nowadays..

Rallychef
Nice...........I hope to do a friends car, he bought this many years ago as someones abandoned project, a bodyshell and several boxes of bits, this was taken a couple of years ago, spec control on the pendragon, Lowther stages, a dry day, semi slick tyres and an unexpected shower. Talk about being in the right place at the right time for a photo Regards Ian D Edit - I should mention the photographer is www.marksayer.com Edited February 10, 2009 by Rallychef

Stevieboy
Hey Guys, Looking at these pics is really giving me idea's maybe even doing some sort of kit of an Escort, people are always asking me for them, Ian, sorry to hear about the small damage to the scooby and Eric the Vette body is done by Mini Exotics I'll try and put a pic up tomorrow. Shiloh
Well I decided to do a bit today on my half day off work. Got the interior painted and started. Everything else got primed. Seats painted and powdered to give the suede effect. Dash will eventually get the same treatment. Apologies for the pants photo's, taking them on the mobile on the run. Seeing as the time is ticking on the interior is getting minor touches only and will probably be stripped at a later date and re-done. If we had a bit more time this baby would have the whole bag of tricks thrown at it.
keefr22
Hey Guys,Looking at these pics is really giving me idea's maybe even doing some sort of kit of an Escort, people are always asking me for them Steve I think there's a substantial market out there for a good 1/24 Mk 1 Steve!! I've even resorted to buying a (whisper it !) diecast to modify!! Shiloh, much as I'm envious of your sister's bf's car, I'd kill for Ian's mates x-packed RS - that's just stunning !! (as is the photo - was the car still as nice after the pic??!!) How much do I wish I still had one of the dozen or so MK1 & 2's I went through back in the day....... Looking forward to your progress on the Focus! Keef Edited February 10, 2009 by keefr22
Rallychef
hi keef, don't want to hijack Seans thread, but in answer to your question, Bob did keep it on its feet, and completed the event and several more since. for such a nice car he doesn't hang back regards Ian

Think we all agree that the only way to drive a MK2 is out the side window. I'd kill for a decent MK2 kit as there are quite a few cars I'd like to do and it seems the RoG kit is getting harder to get.
Shiloh
Well looks like I might miss the deadline on this. I've been shipped to Longbenton to work and won't be home till bout midnight tonite. The Focus was finished Tuesday night and just needs pics taken, still not bad for a build that only took 23 days.
The Creative Explorer
I don't think it is a problem to post them tonight. I don't know when they will 'judge' the models and when they will announce, but imho just post ;-) better late then never
Shiloh
Well folks I'm just in after a pleasing delay at the airport :shithappens: . Following Erik's advice I'll post these anywho and the build judges can choose whether or not to let me play . Nice little Hasegawa kit that goes together with few problems. Steve just needs to get more in now.
Rallychef
I think just for the effort of taking photos and posting at that rediculous time of the morning you should be included for judging, great model BTW regards Ian

The Creative Explorer
Nice build, there is nice level of detail in this kit. I can see where you might had some difficulties like you mentioned, but you put down an nice project in such a short notice.
Shiloh
Thanks Erik. Given a lot more time there's a lot of stuff I would change. It really needs another clear coat and a good polish, the interior needs a lot of work as the decals were used for it all. The suspension needs stripped and sorted, the list goes on really. I'll save all that for the S12 Scooby I'm planning after I finish the 98 and 99 versions I'm doing at the minute.
