Busdriver's thread below has minded me to post this here:

Britmodeller's appear to have boundless enthusiasm for Group Builds and the ideas have been flowing in thick and fast. This is good, it is what we like and bodes well for the future of Britmodeller IPMS UK, both as an IPMS branch and also as a top notch web forum. :clap2:

But...we are also conscious of the fact that we could easily get into a Group Build overload scenario, with people going :frantic: trying to get this and that finished for whatever deadline might apply. Not so good. :weep:

To this end we will be looking much more closely at the GB calenders with the intention of limiting the number of GB's running at any one time. This is not because we want to be spoilsports, but to allow everybody the chance to benefit from the GB experience. So if you've an idea for a new GB then we would be grateful if, in the first instance you could PM both myself and dswoofie so that we have the opportunity to look at where we might place it in the calender and whether or not we feel the GB will be viable. It may well be the case that we will do straw polls or actual polls to see what the take up might be like for a given subject. We don't necessarily want to play numbers games but there has to be the prospect of sufficient take up in order for it to be worthwhile setting up a GB. Your co-operation in this respect would be greatly appreciated.

There are a good number of GB's both current and planned for this year, it is our hope that you get stuck in and enjoy some quality modelling time whilst being able to take advantage of all the help and resources that are available via your fellow Britmodellers. :D

Please feel free to use this thread to raise any issues that you think might be pertinent to the above or if you have any questions.

Any points for discussion or questions, fire away.
