TonyT
Well this is my first model in about 30 years, well, all bar a started and never finished Wessex... I am trying to do it as one of the first Chinooks we got when I served on them, the metal bladed HC1 of 240 OCU.... I am a bit undecided as to completely detail or attempt to detail the back end of the cabin, or simply add all of the later soundproofing that they came with straight off the boat, I would like to detail it so we will see. I have ordered and I am awaiting the Eduard Big Ed for this and I am looking at getting the Cobra one as well...Gulp! I WISH SOMEONE WOULD DO DECALS FOR THESE KITS....... They would sell, If the likes Of Cobra Company and Eduard deems it finacially viable, why have all the decal manufacturers skipped on by? I have bought the Ch47D and the CH47A for the metal blades, but on inspection of them I may be able to make a set of rotors using the A as a template...... Ok where I have got to The RAF Chinooks were soundproofed over the radios and heater in the front, so once I figured out how to mould it out of stock sheet, I pressed my own, I have scratch built and added the likes of the door guide rail and also the curtain, If anyone has any pictures of the Jump seat I would be indebted..... the Cabin walls are wrong on the kit, so I have knocked up the heating ducting along the floor and I am in the process of updating the wall soundproofing, though the Eduard seats should had this. In the pics the floor is just slotted in, but final fit will leave a gap at the bottom of te duct as in the real thing... I also painted and weathered the cabin floor as it gives me some incentive as I go along.. Hope you approve of what I have done so far...... this ain't gonna be quick to do. http://www.skonk.net/main.php?g2_view=core..._serialNumber=2 http://www.skonk.net/main.php?g2_view=core..._serialNumber=2 http://www.skonk.net/main.php?g2_view=core..._serialNumber=2 http://www.skonk.net/main.php?g2_view=core..._serialNumber=
