Jazzy Jase
Whilst attempting post-shading for the first time I made a little error. As you can see in the picture below, there's a couple of patches where I've put on too much paint and it has pooled. How should I go about fixing this? Don't really want to strip and re-paint the whole wing.
CPNGROATS
Mask off and repaint the problem panels... HTH, Cheers, ggc
AndyL
Take some masking tape - Tamiya is best, and mask off the offending panels. Lightly rub back the offending surfaces and respray.
turnerdad
If you've got a little time, mask off the affected panels, lightly rub back with the finest wet sandpaper you can find (micromesh if you have it) then spray the original colour, demask and try again post shading. If in more of a hurry forget masking panels off and just rub the affected areas then repspray lightly (thats what I'd do). The advantage with weathered finishes is that mess ups are easy to hide, as ultimately it will all look like a beaten patchwork anyway. HTH. Jazzy Jase
Cheers guys, I thought you might say masking and sanding, was just a bit nervous about doing it. Anyway, I followed your advice and I'm pleased with the result, though the larger mark needed a lot more rubbing down than I expected.
