hope you enjoy the build

I will, Phil, certainly:

- Few parts

- Not a really small model

- Quite easy to paint

Really, not a big problem.

Also spotted a Buchanan class destroyer from dragon, an 1/350 smart kit, but it was not really cheap.

Latter, maybe.

I have one of these kits in my stash. My intention is to, someday, build it as one of the Gal class subs that were built here in my home town of Barrow. They were a slightly modified version of the 206A.

Looking forward to seeing the results of your build.

Gal class

It's exactly my intentions, but I don't really know about the modifications involved (Inside? Outside?)

I've been given some useful links on an Israeli forum, but nothing about the modifications.

I'll see.

I might also try for an Indonesian boat, but I'm not really sure that some typ 206A were really sold.

Bump!!!

Still in my "finish what's been already started":

Most of the big parts are glued.

I keep aside the screw, periscope and antennaes, to be painted appart, and glued after the hull is painted.

There are many small pieces, that I'll glue latter, after a mr surfacer/sanding sessions.

This way I'll not broke anything, and they'll be glued before the paint so as to make them stronger.

In the end, I've found the courage to start sanding.

Micromesh was used, with good result.

Now with the paint.

I've made a test with the primer, adding some green to brown base.

I like it, but I don't think its a good enough match.

More of it later.

Pre-shading, with flat black.

Did it only on the main structure, as after all the sub is in Braille scale.

Paint finished, both the hull and the small bits and pieces.

Antennaes and screw.

The screw is painted copper, not yet really weathered.

Periscope is camoed two-tone blue (As seen on a real typ. 206).

Antennaes are panzer grey(!) and alu, to add some colors.

Overall view.

The walking areas are painted tire black.

Closer view of the watchtower.
