Redboost
Agree, in that case I would prey for his smaller 1/72 brother :-) Dahut: I think it was called like that, I also read about "flying suitcase" and Russians called it "balalaika". Antoine
Nice Hampden! Is there the possibility to build a coastal command machine in the box?
Redboost
Hi, yes, included is a machine in coastal command camouflage (DSG/White) from a Meteo flight. Valom also prepares a kit of torpedo bomber, but camouflages are not yet known, see link: http://www.valom.net/pripravujeme_en.html
593jones
Superb build, Libor, I'm very tempted to get one, if it wasn't so expensive! Like Haggis, I'm waiting for Trumpeter to produce a 1/48 kit, I'm better with the bigger scales anyway.

I am looking forward to the kit in mail box. Patrick

Arrrgh, I've also seen a Swedish P5!!! I don't think that I'll wait for a torpedo bomber, as I believe most hampden used for coastal duty were ex-bomber command machines, carrying D/C instead of bombs. I understand that some OCU participated in the Atlantic Battle, but I don't know about their aircraft camo, and if they were integrated in Coastal command. As I can see in Scale Aircraft Modelling V9/5 February 1987 there are two examples of Coastal Command Hampden TB1. Camouflage extra dark sea grey and dark slate grey over sky. Codes in medium sea grey. AN127 / XA-Y from 489 Sqn AT114 / GX-D from 415 Sqn. There are no drawings about the Met flights. Patrick
Redboost
I can recommend as a great source the Hampden Squadron in Focus by Mark Postlethwaite, the book features a mass of period pictures and nice shots of interior as well. Of course The Hampden File by Air Britain is the most complete reference; however, very rare and expensive (at least at my part of the globe ) Edited January 1, 2009 by Redboost

John
It isn't a mag I'm a big fan of, but I'll certainly be buying this one. Very nicely done. John
