ejboyd5
My POSSLQ presented me with a copy of Warpaint No.29 - Hawker Sea Hawk as an early Christmas present and I was immediately drawn to the picture of WV856 while it was serving as an 'Admiral's Barge' on No. 781 Squadron. Also included in the monograph is a color profile of XE390 in the same livery with its color being described as 'Flag Officer Green.' Many years ago I did a Westland Whilrwind helicopter in a similar scheme and, if I remember correctly, was directed to 'Brunswick Green' as the appropriate color which appears as a deeper and richer green than either the photograph or side profile. Knowing the limitations of print reproduction of true colors I wonder if anyone can now provide an accurate color match for WV856 or XE390? Test Graham
I believe the colour should have been Emerald Green not the deeper Brunswick Green. There is a very early Humbrol colour - 1?
Edgar
What he said; Brunswick (at least Humbrol's version) is far too dark, and it's Humbrol 2. Edgar
