Thanks for all your support and advice over the year without it most of these builds would have not seen the light of day. Edited December 16, 2008 by Mish
Seamus Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Ha, beat you by two models! Seriously though, there's some fine work there indeed Mish. You've come a very long way indeed in such a short space of time, and you're willingness to have a go at different things- dioramas, seascapes etc- is very commendable. As armour isn't really my thing, I've missed some of you builds, but I do especially like that HumVee, and your Wyvern is superb
avro683 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 That's almost two per month, Incredible output Mish to a very high standard. You've set yourself a real high target to match for next year haven't you! By the way, the "Lizzie" gets my vote. Tony
keith in the uk Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Lovely work there Mish and a nice mixed bunch of topics , the Laysander and Thunderbird are my favorites
Guest snipersmudge Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 great line up there Mish, I have enjoyed watching your builds during the year and am really impressed with your armour models Pete
bexwh773 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 When I think back to that 1:144th F16 I have sat on my shelf Sis, youre skill has improved no end Bex
silverkite211 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I think what impresses me as much as your (self expressed) improving modeling skill is your eclectic taste in subject matter. Well Done, Mish!
Murdo Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 For the luvva...! You really put me to shame Mish. I only managed to complete five. Some really great stuff there Mish. I hope next year is as successful for you.
gcn Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 impressive collection. What Is most impressive is the variation of subjects I have to say that Subaru is the pick IMO
timbo33 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Incredible range of subjects, and some lovely models, particularly the Wyvern and the Lysander. The Hornet as impressive too - I can't model B-25s in 1/48 very well, let alone 1/350th!!!
AnonymousDFB1 Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 Incredible range of subjects, and some lovely models, particularly the Wyvern and the Lysander. The Hornet as impressive too - I can't model B-25s in 1/48 very well, let alone 1/350th!!! Actually the B25s are 1:700 But they was ready moulded and just needed paint and decals. The worst part on the Hornet was the 30 4mm gun barrels that had to be cut from wire and individually placed.
Brian1 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Mish, that's a very interesting and varied collection. My personal favorites are the Wyvern and Lysander but they're all pretty good. How do you find the time to produce that many in that quality - well done!
AnonymousDFB1 Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 Being unemployed for six months has helped, but I limit myself to 2 -3 hours modelling a day
spitfire Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 That is a fantastic range of models there, sure to stop you getting stale, great work. Cheers Den
AndyL Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Mish, A wide and varied, eyecatching range, and having seen some of those close up, they really are superb builds...was rather taken with your aircraft carrier...keep up the good work!
eng Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Damn fine collection there Mish, some wee crackers, "you're gonna need a bigger shelf!!" Eng
Alan P Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 That's a pretty amazing output for just one year, and you should be congratulated for your diversity of subjects. I didn't catch any of the GB stuff you did before, the Scooby pit crew, carrier seascape and AT diorama are very well done. Al
Muller Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Nice work mish, you've tried everything this year! Love the F-16, Subaru and the 251 dio!
AnnC Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 All of 'em looking good I like the tanks, and that diorama for USS Hornet looks really good, well done!
Gekko_1 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Wow Mish! What a diverse output! Puts me to shame, I couldn't get even one thing finished this year! Imagine what you're going to achieve in 2009! Cheers Richard.
general melchett Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Nice work Mish , especially like the LAV and Wyvern , surely you could fit a few more in before the end of the year Andy
