AnonymousAA72
(EDIT: Its been a long day - just realised I've posted this in the CIVIL Aircraft section...D'oh, perhaps one of those nice moderator chappies would move it where it belongs......hmmmmmmm ??) Bit of a commission sort of job this one....long story short, I was asked to build this to help raise funds for the REAL XL426 at Southend Airport. I've built '426 as she was when first delivered to 83 Sqn, before being converted to take Blue Steel, that makes it around early '63. Totally re-scribed with new scratch-built jet pipes to represent the '201's used on '426. Decals from Freightdog (fantastic quality), Modeldecal and a few Airfix kits (all Airfix decals were in different shades of Blue and Pink, which was a bit of a problem when some disintegrated!!! I'll post some more pic's of my day at Southend with the real '426 in one of the other forum's on here..... ALL comments welcome BTW - good, bad or indifferent...... David H
Bill, for a Vulcan on a stick, it looks fantastic, especially if it was built in a hurry. Whoever wins it will be very pleased. All the Best, david
