tnuag Posted October 30 Posted October 30 (edited) We are producing the Wonder Arch at the request of the IPMS USAF SIG. It is the Vietnam war era Hardened Aircraft Shelter (HAS) and is shorter than the later European HAS which has end walls and doors. It is quite large, but has had a successful test build, and here is the box top artwork. Edited November 4 by tnuag Graphic updated 3
tnuag Posted November 4 Author Posted November 4 (edited) I have just received the photographs of the test article - it has come out well, anyway here are some pictures. The model is built in two halves, with a mortise joint in the middle. The two halves joined as a push-fit (no adhesive) We intended to capture the corrugated interior detail as shown below. A close-up of those corrugations. And when in use..... They are now in production for Hannants. Edited November 4 by tnuag 1
tnuag Posted November 7 Author Posted November 7 Anyone interested in the Wonder Arch can see an example on the USAF SIG Stand at Telford this weekend (8 & 9 November 2025)
